Psychological Therapy

I have worked in the NHS as a Clinical Psychologist for over 10 years. Over this time the availability for psychological therapy has changed. There are long waiting lists for therapy and the number of therapy sessions is usually limited.

Private psychological therapy has the benefit of being more responsive to your needs, meeting as often and frequently as you need, all the time ensuring we are working together on your identified goals.

Another benefit of private psychological therapy is that if you were to experience one of life’s wobbles, you can book in to have a few top-up sessions to support you through the difficult time in a healthy way to ‘weather a storm’ rather than succumbing to it.

As a Clinical Psychologist I have been trained to work with many types of difficulties that can make life more challenging. I am an integrative psychologist and use different models to best suit your individual needs.

As an integrative psychologist I draw from a number of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, CBT, acceptance therapies such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, MBCT, Compassion Focussed Therapy, CFT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, ACT and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy., DBT. I also draw on systemic principles and psychodynamic theories.
